Jim Stanley has pastored Angelo Bible Church since October of 1988. He and his wife, Pat, were married in October of 1973 and have two daughters: Megan who lives with her family in New Braunfels and Katie who went home to the Lord in 2010. Jim and Pat raised their grandson, Seth, who is married to Kylar. Their daughter Kathleen is Jim and Pat’s first great-grandchild.

Jim is a graduate of Dallas Bible College as well as Dallas Theological Seminary with a Th.M. degree. Jim and Pat served at Abilene Bible Church for five years before moving to San Angelo. Together, Jim and Pat are committed to shepherding the members and families of Angelo Bible Church and equipping them to do the works of the ministry. Jim focuses on the verse by verse expository teaching of the Bible with emphasis on sound doctrine and practical application. Jim and Pat seek to train up disciple-makers who will use their spiritual gifts in the power of the Holy Spirit to reach and equip others.

Jim and Pat enjoy friendship and fellowship with their church family, serving in the San Angelo Community, and cooking together. Their “empty nest” is joined by a variety of pets: a dog named Tripper, three ducks, and nine chickens.
